They held two Bible discussions daily on campus or in nearby cafes, studied the Bible with numerous students from different countries, including Italians of course, and just “plain old” had a blast making friends inside and outside the church.
One of the girls who was met was Diana. Diana happened to be sitting on a bench on campus when two of the students reached out to her. Diana is from Colombia and the brother and sister reaching out to her spoke some Spanish. At first Diana said she wasn’t interested, but the next day she was met again by two other students (both spoke Spanish). This time the students were able to convince her to come to Bible discussion on campus.
When she heard the Word of God she was hooked on Jesus! Diana was baptized a few months afterwards in October. Shortly after her baptism Diana brought Liliana to church. Liliana is also Columbian and also an engineering student. The amazing thing about Liliana coming to church is that she too had been invited to BT by the same campus students around the same time Diana was invited. Neither Diana nor Liliana knew of this coincidence. Well, in March of this year, Liliana became your sister in Christ! Now both are writing their thesis and continuing to share their new found faith with their friends on campus.
So, the moral of the story is.... Just share your faith with as many as possible, because you never know when someone will respond to the gospel or exactly who will be instrumental in getting them to that point. God only knows what or who it will take for certain souls to enter his kingdom. This is not our worry, 2 Timothy 4:2 says “Preach the word in season and out of season...” God will do the rest!
