ICOC Church Locator Helps a Friend Find Christ

KeErica with Anthony in DCI want to share a testimony of how Disciples Today has helped me help a friend come to Christ.

My friend from college KeErica had just graduated and moved to Washington, D.C. After she viewed my Facebook page and saw all the wonderful pictures I had taken while out on dates, and the many photos of my journeys traveling around St. Louis, KeErica contacted me and asked me about our church. I told her about the great relationships and how many of the photos I had taken were with my family in Christ. At the time KeErica was actually searching for a church family, so I mentioned to her, “I’m sure there’s a location in Washington, DC.”  

During this time I was interning for the Gateway City Church in St. Louis in the administrative office. During my training I was giving a tutorial of the many tools and resources that are available, including DisciplesToday. After my conversation with KeErica, I remembered the tab I saw on the website for the Church Locator. I went back to the website and found the Washington, DC contact information. I contacted someone from the church and told them about my friend KeErica and they reached out to her.  

KeErica baptismA few weeks later I received news that she was studying the Bible. Then one day I received the great news that KeErica was not only my friend, but now a soldier in the army for the Lord and my sister in Christ. This is a great testimony of how using social media and the tools we have can be used to lead someone to the Lord!
