New Delhi Teenager Sets Inspiring Example

Acts 14:22 says "we must go through many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God." One teenager from India has experienced this Scripture first hand and inspires us all with her story.

When Anjali was a small child her mother was a member of the New Delhi church. Anjali remembers attending children's classes during those years. Unfortunately Anjali's mother abandoned her faith and Anjali was dragged into a very dark world unfit for a young child.

By the time Anjali's mother came to her senses and decided to come back to God a lot of damage had already been done. When Anjali was 14 years old, she had experienced things no young girl should ever have gone through. Her mother was restored and Anjali started studying the Bible. It was hard for Anjali to get out of the trauma of being abused.

It took some time for her to accept the love of Christ and she was finally baptized. A few months later her mother suddenly died of an asthma attack in the middle of the night.

Anjali (pictured in middle) attends high school and is a committed Christian in spite of the many challenges she has to face. Her life has been filled with pain yet she is always smiling.

She is very involved in the ministry. In the past couple of months she helped her friend Pooja become a Christian and now she is studying the Bible with two other teens who grew up in the church. Of course, her life has been very different from theirs but Anjali does not hold back and guides them spiritually.
