Two weeks during the 2015 Christmas holiday season, 80 volunteers along with the local HOPE worldwide staff painted boats, built houses, played with children, sweated, laughed, cried and fought off relentless ants and mosquitoes.

For many families along the Jersey Shore, the recovery is just beginning. The HOPE worldwide Hurricane Sandy Recovery Program’s SPARK Academy provides a healing and caring environment to help restore normalcy to the lives of children impacted by Hurricane Sandy. The program helps children recover through a fun, character-building curriculum of visual arts, performing arts and sports.
