- Monday’s HOPE golf tournament was a huge success. Over $48,000 was raised with 76 golfers. This is the most successful golf event ever in Boston. The funds raised will support our DCF programs, Saturday Academy and HOPE worldwide. Thank you to the leadership group and those who participated.
- 596 volunteers handed out 27,370 door hangers while they talked to 1727 neighbors during this week of service. Many people commented on the encouragement they received due to serving their own neighborhood.
- The Boston first responders were quite touched by the gratitude expressed to them by the volunteers. The $5000 gift to Officer Donohue was quite impressive to the first responders. There were top leaders from the Boston first responders (police, fire and EMS) and on a national level from FEMA was amazing. I was so moved by the comments of our guests who shared their appreciation. Our civil servants need our gratitude and deserve it. Lastly, the entertainment and original songs by Fabrice Clerger (our brother from Florida) and Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell (our guest who is an ER doctor here in Boston who served many marathon victims) was very moving.
- As always, the hearts of the disciples to serve and give is hard to describe. God was honored, HOPE worldwide was held out in a very positive way and our church was a great light to Boston. Special thanks to the benevolence group, Lisa Fischer (event leader), Joe Gattozzi, Rich Fischer (event host), Joe Galeota, Tony Martin and the band!!!
