Encouragement for Wives with Non-Christian Husbands Featured

Here are many Scriptures and thoughts to encourage wives with husbands who are not disciples.

1 Peter 2:21-23

  • Jesus suffered because of criticism, but he did not retaliate. He even died for us. It is this passage then that leads into chapter 3, verse 1: “Wives, in the same way be submissive to you husbands...!”

  • What do you do when your husband becomes very critical in his statements concerning your new lifestyle and the church family? Do you respond as Jesus did? Too many wives set out to argue or defend their position. They forget that he is not following the same standards. Arguing will only make matters worse. The best reply is no reply. Just listen and say, “I’m sorry you feel that way,” and let it go!
