Women’s Worship 2011, Seattle, USA

Written by  Karla Overstreet, Seattle , USA Thursday, 01 December 2011 18:41

“Today is your day!” If you could do or change one thing today, what would it be? In October as a part of our annual Women’s worship, all the women of the Seattle church talked about exactly that.

As women we love to get together and talk, sing, laugh, eat and share. That is what we did on a beautiful Sunday morning on Queen Anne and a sunny afternoon in Bellevue as we invited our friends to join us to talk about taking advantage of every moment that God gives us. Combined we had almost 500 women impacted by the messages by Carol Kelly and Karla Overstreet. As a special treat we were reminded by Nadine Templer, that women all over the world face the same struggles as she shared her experiences from India and the work she does with HOPE worldwide. We were so grateful for her heart to encourage us at both services.

Three weeks later the women in Tacoma got together to hear from Carol Kelly as they talked about “A Walk To Remember”. It was an amazing sermon on experiencing, evaluating and enjoying our walk with God in our daily lives. We had over 160 women in attendance, and some of the guests came to church the following Sunday wanting to know God in a deeper way.

We are excited God is using us to have an impact on women of the Greater Puget Sound area for Him. AND we get to have a lot of fun doing it!
