Friday, 24 February 2017 12:05

OYC weddingOn Saturday, February 18, two disciples who met and fell in love on a One Year Challenge were married! Many of the friends they have been reaching out to came to the wedding ceremony.

Related video here. You might recognize the groom--he's the missing OYC guy in this week's video.

This week's featured OYC site is Edinburgh, Scotland

Scotland is home to Braveheart and J.K Rowling. It is also home to a campus ministry in its historic and beautiful capital, Edinburgh. The OYC site is looking for fired-up brothers and sisters to ignite the campus ministry, mentor the teens and recieve full-time ministry training from the evangelist and woman's ministry leader.

You can learn more about the Scotland OYC site and other sites around the world at oneyearchallenge.org.

New content this week on the One Year Challenge blog:

  • What will your story be? We all have an ideal story for our lives. This story often involves fulfilling our greatest desires and reaching our full potential. But God has a different story for us.

  • Great Images: The Bible's Authors: This graphic shows which authors (inspired by the Holy Spirit, of course) contributed to the different works that make up the entire Bible.

  • What We're Reading Today: This week's featured excerpt for disciples considering the OYC is taken from Sam Laing's devotional classic, Be Still My Soul

  • scotland

Great Missionary Lives: Read about David Livingston's missionary exploits in Africa, and how even an explorer's gifts can be used for Christ and his mission.

  • "Set Infinite Value on Immortal Souls": William Carey's 11 missionary commandments capture the spirit of devotedness to the Great Commission.

  • Monday Music: Songs from OYC sites around the world. Every week we'll share some music in different languages, from nations where we have OYC sites. This week's music comes from London!
