It’s official: Bend, Oregon is now a One Year Challenge Site! Starting today you can volunteer for six to 12 months to help plant and grow God’s church in Bend. And yes, your rent and utilities will be covered!
Come join us in Oregon! Not only to help grow God’s church but to be trained in a personal walk with God, how to study with and baptize lost souls, how to be a faith-producing public speaker and learn church shepherding skills (counseling, scheduling and raising up others to do what you have learned).
In Bend you will become a part of the Oregon family with close relationships with the Oregon churches in Portland, Eugene, Ashland and Corvallis. You would also be able to help start campus ministries at Oregon State University (OSU)-Cascades and Central Oregon Community College. In addition, you can be part of the start of a young professionals ministry!
The Bend ministry is led by a long time faithful couple that we affectionately call the “mom and dad” of the Bend planting, Kevin and Diane Mitchell. Kevin and Diane have helped provide leadership in the Orange County Church of Christ for many years. They are joined by their 20-year-old daughter, Lian, who will be starting college in Bend this January. (Read more of their story, "Planting a House Church in Bend").
